Areas of Support
Every person who comes to us brings a unique story. These are the areas where we offer focused, evidence-based, trauma-informed support — always at your pace, always without judgment.
Finding calm in the chaos.
Who this is for
Adults experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, work stress, or overwhelm.
Anxiety can show up in many ways — racing thoughts, physical tension, avoidance, or a constant sense of dread that's hard to explain. Whether your anxiety is tied to a specific situation or feels like it's always been there, counselling can help.
What we work on together
Reconnecting with yourself.
Who this is for
Adults experiencing low mood, loss of interest, fatigue, hopelessness, or emotional numbness.
Depression is more than feeling sad — it can drain your energy, disconnect you from the people and things you love, and make even small tasks feel impossible. You don't have to white-knuckle your way through it alone.
What we work on together
Compassionate, harm reduction-informed support.
Who this is for
Adults navigating substance use, behavioural addictions, or supporting a loved one in recovery.
Addiction is complex — it's rarely just about the substance or behaviour. It's often about pain, coping, and survival. With an addictions certificate and an addictions-informed approach, I offer non-judgmental, harm reduction-centred support that meets you exactly where you are. Whether you're working toward abstinence, moderation, or simply safer choices, all goals are valid here.
What we work on together
Safety, healing, and reclaiming your sense of self.
Who this is for
Individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing intimate partner violence in any form.
Intimate partner violence — whether physical, emotional, psychological, financial, or sexual — leaves deep marks. Healing takes time, safety, and a space where your experience is fully believed and validated.
What we work on together
Healing from what happened at home.
Who this is for
Adults who experienced family violence, abuse, or neglect — whether recently or in the past.
Family violence — including childhood abuse, neglect, or witnessing violence — shapes how we see ourselves and the world. The effects can follow us into adulthood in ways that aren't always easy to recognize. This is a space to begin making sense of it.
What we work on together
Support for one of life's hardest roles.
Who this is for
Parents of children of any age who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or in need of support.
Parenting is deeply rewarding — and deeply hard. Whether you're dealing with burnout, navigating a difficult co-parenting relationship, managing conflict at home, or simply feeling like you're not doing enough, counselling offers a space to breathe, reflect, and find your footing.
What we work on together
Building a foundation that puts your children first.
Who this is for
Separated or divorced parents, co-parents, blended families, and couples wanting to align on parenting values and approaches.
Separation, divorce, and blended family dynamics can make parenting feel like a battleground. Counselling can help you step back, understand different parenting styles, and work toward a parenting plan that is grounded in your children's wellbeing — not conflict. Whether you're co-parenting with an ex-partner, navigating a new blended family, or trying to align on values with a current partner, this work helps you parent with intention.
What we work on together
Processing a new diagnosis with clarity and compassion.
Who this is for
Adults newly diagnosed with ASD or ADHD, and parents supporting a child through a new diagnosis.
Receiving a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or ADHD — for yourself or your child — can bring up a complicated mix of emotions: relief, grief, confusion, and hope all at once. Counselling helps you process what the diagnosis means and build practical strategies for moving forward.
What we work on together
Your grief is valid — whatever its shape.
Who this is for
Anyone experiencing loss of any kind — including losses that others may not fully recognize or understand.
Grief doesn't only come from death. It comes from the end of a relationship, a diagnosis that changes everything, a job loss, a miscarriage, estrangement, or the life you thought you'd have. Whatever you're grieving, it deserves to be honoured — not rushed, not minimized.
What we work on together
Building emotional skills for life.
Who this is for
Children and youth experiencing emotional dysregulation, anxiety, behavioural challenges, or life transitions — and the parents supporting them.
Children and youth experience big emotions — and don't always have the words or tools to manage them. Counselling offers a safe, supportive space to help young people identify what they're feeling, understand why, and build the regulation skills they need to navigate school, relationships, and everyday life.
What we work on together
Understanding what's underneath the anger.
Who this is for
Adults seeking support with anger on their own terms, or those referred through an employer, court, or diversion program.
Anger is a normal, valid emotion — but when it becomes difficult to manage, it can damage relationships, create legal consequences, and leave you feeling out of control. Counselling helps you understand what's driving your anger, develop practical regulation strategies, and respond to difficult situations in ways that align with your values.
What we work on together
Meeting your requirements — and your needs.
Who this is for
Individuals referred through a diversion program, court order, probation condition, or employer requirement.
If you have been referred to counselling through the court system, a diversion program, or a legal requirement, CORE Counselling can provide individual sessions to support that process. Sessions are confidential within the limits of the law. Attendance documentation can be provided upon request. Please note that I cannot guarantee specific legal outcomes, and any documentation provided reflects attendance and participation only — not clinical conclusions or recommendations to the court.
